Meet Joy, in person.

This is a working preview of Joy, the AI front desk and guest service assistant we proposed for Paribbean Town Hotel & Resort. You can talk to her, in English or many other languages, and watch a guest room and the staff console react in real time. This page explains how to use it, then walks you through a 10-minute demo.

Before you start

The three screens

The POC shows three screens side by side. In the hotel they would be three different devices; here they share one live demo, so you can see cause and effect.

Screen 1
Lobby kiosk

The life-size Joy screen at the front desk. Guests talk or type to Joy. Cards appear here for room keys, directions, bookings and bills.

Screen 2
Room tablet

The tablet in each room: door, lights, thermostat, curtains, TV, wake-up and do-not-disturb. Joy controls these by voice; guests can also tap.

Screen 3
Staff console

What reception and IT see: a live feed, tickets by department, bookings and availability, door access log, and operations controls.

Want the staff console on a second monitor? Press “Open on 2nd screen ↗” in the staff console. Both windows stay in sync.

How to talk to Joy

🎙 Speak

Press Talk to Joy and allow the microphone. Joy greets you; then just talk naturally, like you would to a receptionist. You can interrupt her. Press End conversation when you're done.

⌨ Type or tap

Type in the box under the conversation (any language), or tap a “Try:” phrase. Typing works even while a voice conversation is running.

🌍 Languages

Just speak another language and Joy switches. Or pick a language first with the Start in a language buttons. Staff notes always stay in English.

📍 Where the guest is

Use “Joy is on” to tell Joy whether the guest is at the lobby kiosk, in their room, or on their phone. In the room tablet you can press Talk to Joy from this room.

The guided tour does this walkthrough for you. Press ▶ Guided tour at the top of the POC: it highlights each screen and gives you the exact phrases to say or tap.

10-minute walkthrough

Follow these steps in order. Each one proves part of your requirements document (shown in gold).

Check in a guest

“Hi, I'm checking in. My name is Maria Santos.”
Joy finds the reservation and assigns Room 104. A mobile key card appears on the kiosk, the room tablet wakes up with Maria's preferred 22 °C, and reception sees the check-in and guest notes in the staff feed.
§2 Front desk avatar · §5 Collect info for receptionists · §11C Personalization

Switch language

“¿Dónde está el restaurante?”“Bonjour, à quelle heure ouvre la piscine ?”
Joy answers in Spanish or French, shows directions on screen, and the language badge changes. Try Hindi, Mandarin, Arabic, Ukrainian or Tagalog too.
§3 Language support · §10 Property knowledge

Control the room

Set Joy is on to Room tablet, then:“Dim the lights to 30% and make them sunset.”“Set the temperature to 22 and open the curtains.”“Wake me up at 7 am.”
Each control on the room tablet changes as Joy speaks. Tap a control yourself and Joy is told about it.
§8 In-room control · §9 Guest phone connection

Open the smart door

Tap Phone key or Face ID on the room tablet, or say:“Unlock my door.”
The door unlocks only for the checked-in guest and locks itself again. Every entry appears in Staff console → Doors, where staff can lock or unlock any room remotely. Select room 106 (not checked in) and try again: it stays locked.
§7 Room door system

Report a problem

“My shower is leaking.”“Perdí la llave de mi habitación.”
A ticket goes to the right department (maintenance, reception…) with a priority and an estimated time, written in English for staff. In Staff console → Tickets press Mark resolved: Joy follows up with the guest by herself.
§5 Guest assistance · §11G Staff coordination

Book without overbooking

“Book a table for 2 at 7 pm.”“Then 8 pm is fine.”
7 p.m. is full on purpose: Joy refuses to overbook and offers other times, then books 8 p.m. The count drops in Staff console → Bookings. Also try the spa, a pool cabana, the farm tour or the shuttle.
§6 Bookings and reservations

Live property updates

In Staff console → Operations, press Close pool for cleaning, then ask:“Is the pool open?”
Joy already knows it's closed. Do the same with “Restaurant: mark full tonight”.
§10 Real-time updates

Accessibility

Press Deaf / text mode on the kiosk, then Ring doorbell on the room tablet. Or say:“I'm deaf, can we use text?”“I am blind. How do I get to the restaurant?”
Deaf mode: large high-contrast captions, flashing visual alerts, captions on the TV and a vibrating-bed wake-up. Blind mode: voice first, step-by-step directions with step counts, a longer door unlock. The profile is shared with every department.
§4 Sign language (text today, ASL avatar in Phase 2) · §12 Accessibility

Emergency and outage

In Operations press Fire alarm drill. Then press it again to end it, and try Simulate Joy outage.
Every screen shows multilingual exit instructions and Joy calmly guides the guest. In an outage Joy hands over to the receptionists, and doors and lights keep working offline. Turn both off afterwards.
§11B Safety · §11H System maintenance · §13 Backup and offline mode

Report and checkout

Press Daily management report in Operations, then say:“What's on my bill?”“I'd like to check out.”
The report summarises check-ins, bookings, tickets and languages. Joy reads the bill, checks the guest out and emails the invoice. Press Reset demo to start again.
§11E Payment and billing · §11G Daily report

The conversation stopped by itselfEach conversation lasts up to 10 minutes. Press Talk to Joy to start a new one; the demo data stays.

Privacy

Conversations are processed by our AI voice provider (ElevenLabs) to run the demo. The demo data is stored only in your own browser. Please don't share real personal or payment details. In the production system all guest data stays private under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), with no recording without consent.

After the demo

Tell us what you liked and what you would change: Joy's voice and personality, the languages, the room features, the staff console. From there we plan the pilot: connecting your property management system, door locks and room controls for the Phase 1 rooms (including the 2 deaf-accessible and 2 blind-accessible rooms), installing the lobby screen, and training your team.
